The Chairman/Founder/CEO of ShangPharma Corporation, together with TPG Capital, has made an offer to take the company private at a price of between $8.50 and $9.50 per ADS. Yesterday, ShangPharma closed at $6.88 per ADS. The company, one of China’s largest pre-clinical CROs, made its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in October 2010 at $15.
